Complete set for replacing all electrolytic capacitors in the TEAC X-2000, X-2000 R, and X-2000 M tape recorders

We offer a high-quality complete set here, consisting of a total of 160 capacitors. Most capacitors are supplied with increased temperature resistance and increased voltage rating. Both have a positive effect on service life and otherwise bring no disadvantages.

In this set, any tantalum electrolytic capacitors present are replaced with "normal" electrolytic capacitors. When replacing them, please note that tantalum capacitors are marked at their POSITIVE TERMINAL, while normal electrolytic capacitors are marked at their NEGATIVE TERMINAL.

This set is compatible with three variants of the X-2000. For this reason, you will have some capacitors left over, as these capacitors do not belong to your variant.

The quality of the electrolytic capacitors supplied corresponds to the quality\of those originally installed. Capacitors from different manufacturers are used and may vary. See also the list below of the manufacturers in question available for download.

We offer a 60-day return policy for the unused components.

For details on the procedure for replacing the electrolytic capacitors and product safety, please refer to the documents available for download at the bottom of this page. These documents will also be included with the delivery.

General note: It is becoming increasingly difficult to source the small electrolytic capacitor values 0.1µF, 0.22µF, 0.33µF, and 0.47µF from current production.
If your desired electrolytic capacitor set contains these values, the very suitable for hi-fi applications KEMET R82 series film capacitors will now be included instead. For the same reason, once stocks are depleted, the WIMA MKS film capacitors with values of 2.2µF and 3.3µF will be replaced by the excellent PANASONIC electrolytic capacitors from the EB-A series.

The prices have already been adjusted accordingly.
